Traumatic Brain Injury of the Paraventricular Nucleus
This is NOT medical advice. This is for discussion purposes only.
This will go against nearly everything that allopathic medicine has taught you. You will need to read this at least 10-15 times to grasp the profound implications this has for your health. You can totally heal, but in order to heal there are at least 100 things you need to change in your life in order to align with nature. It's a lot of change with things you've never thought about. No person will make all these changes (including me) unless they know WHY they are doing it. It's just too much stuff to do on faith alone. So, you are really going to need to internalize the points in this message in order to convince yourself to do the things that will align you with nature. I can't emphasize this enough. Knowing WHY you need to do this stuff is key.
Here are some of the things you have told me about yourself over the years and that I have hopefully remembered correctly. Please forgive me if I got anything wrong.
1. Childhood trauma, both emotional and physical.
2. Many years spent in med school and hospital rotations (of which you will see the health implications later).
3. Many years spent working in a health care setting (of which you will see the health implications later).
4. Early onset menopause.
5. Extreme job stress.
6. Pre-diabetes type 2 (believed to be stress induced).
7. Pain and numbness in hands.
8. Syncope on a return flight from Hawaii.
9. Erratic and dysregulated blood pressure.
10. Diagnosis of autonomic nervous system dysfunction.
11. Sensitivity to stressors like heat and toxic people.

Allopathic doctors are NOT trained in the causes of chronic disease, but the causes are not a mystery. The main root cause is the same for nearly all chronic disease, so we must start there. Then we can go into specifics for your situation. While nearly all of allopathic medicine is focused on biochemistry, we need to go deeper and look into physics in order to understand chronic disease. Biochemistry and allopathic medicine ignore physics, and that is why allopathic medicine has failed to understand chronic disease.
Humans are biophotoelectrical beings. That means we run on electricity and light. Medical school overlooks this foundational floor principle of our existence. The human body contains about 10 trillion human cells, and about 100 trillion microbial cells. Human cells contain literal batteries within the cells as well as batteries surrounding the cells. The most well-known batteries are the mitochondria. On average, cells contain a couple thousand mitochondria in each cell. Some studies show that cells, like the neurons of the substantia nigra, have 2 million mitochondria per cell. You will remember from cell biology that the inner mitochondrial membrane (IMM) contains 5 proteins (complexes) that form the electron transport chain (ETC). NADH/NAD+ sits at complex 1, oxygen sits at complex 4 (cytochrome c oxidase, or CCO), establishing the goal posts of the ETC. CCO is a heme-based protein which means that iron (Fe) sits at the center of a porphyrin ring. In addition, CCO is where water is made and where apoptosis is controlled. ATP synthase is located at complex 5. Complexes 2 and 3 are also heme-based proteins of which we will see the significance later. ATP synthase has a spinning head that rotates at a about 500-5000 revolutions per second (depending on light) and it creates a magnet that pulls oxygen (a paramagnetic molecule) into its place of function at CCO, and that oxygen then pulls electrons through the proteins by using quantum tunneling. The energy released from these electrons pumps protons across the IMM to create an electric gradient, and these protons move through ATP synthase to create ATP. What doctors don't know is that the physics of mitochondria reveals that the electrical potential difference across the IMM is 30 million volts per meter. That's the same as a bolt of lightning! It's an enormous charge due to the very small scale of the IMM. What prevents that massive charge from escaping and electrocuting our tissue thereby causing disease? It's the water that's made at CCO. This is NOT regular water. It is deuterium depleted water that is a perfect insulator, and it is structured into a 4th phase of gel-like water known as H3O2 instead of liquid water that is H2O. But when these complexes (proteins) of the ETC are damaged then water is not properly made at CCO, the IMM is not fully insulated, and you begin to leak 30 million volts per meter of electricity into your body. That electricity follows the path of least electrical resistance, as it makes an electrical channel as it goes (very similar to a lightning bolt or the electrical action potential in a neuron), and where that electricity ends up is where you get disease. You are leaking this electricity. The location of disease will be different for everyone depending on your weakest link and the path of the electrocution. What damages the proteins of the ETC to start this pathogenic cascade? Complex 1 is damaged by WiFi and cell phone signals. Complexes 2, 3, and 4 are damaged by blue light. Complex 4 is furthered damaged by lack of red light (sunrise and sunset). ATP synthase is damaged by deuterium (foods out of season). There are other things that cause damage (like microplastics, vaccines, food additives, toxic chemicals, viral/baterial infections, etc), but the big ones are blue light and non-native electromagnetic frequency (nn-EMF, like WiFi and cell phone signals). We will need to get into detail on these insults later as part of the healing process.

As the ETC on the IMM becomes dysfunctional from these environmental insults it is not able to use oxygen as much (since it's broken and shifts to glycolysis), but the magnetic ATP synthase continues to pull oxygen into its position at CCO which causes more electricity to leak as the oxygen continues pulling electrons through. Worse yet, since there is too much oxygen sitting there it gets converted to high-intensity reactive oxygen species (ROS) which are free radicals that destroy tissue when too many are produced. ROS are very important in small, precisely controlled amounts because they produce light that is stronger than sunlight which runs chemical reactions, relays signals to DNA in the nucleus and to other mitochondria and other cells. But in large amounts ROS destroy tissue by basically producing UV light strong enough to french-fry other cells. This is why severe Covid patients died when they were put on ventilators. Their IMM's were dysfunctional to begin with from their lifestyle, then they got SARS-CoV-2 which further damaged the ETC while oxygen was just sitting there creating lots of ROS and leaking electricity. Then the hospital forced more oxygen into these people with a ventilator producing so much intense UV light from ROS that it literally fried their organs, leaking more electricity from the pull of more oxygen (from the ventilator), and they died. Now look at this same explanation through the eyes of my sleep apnea. My ETC is damaged to the point that oxygen is just sitting there creating massive amounts of ROS. I try to go to sleep and my brain sees an opportunity to limit oxygen intake while I'm sleeping so that I don't make so much ROS. When the ROS is high in the tissue of the airway we call this obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). When ROS is high in the reticular activating system of the brain we call it central sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a protective mechanism to purposely limit oxygen so that damaging ROS and leaked electricity are not made in as much quantity. Now view this same scenario on your plane ride home from Hawaii. You have a lifetime of mitochondrial damage evidenced by your current health problems, then you have lots of same-day mitochondrial damage from the radar in the plane, all the WiFi, the airport with thousands of people on their phones, the LED ceiling lights, and on and on and on. While your mitochondria are leaking electricity and producing lots of damaging ROS the co-pilot turns on the pumps and hits you with pure oxygen in the plane. You brain says "No, no, no!" and it's light out for you. It's a protective mechanism to keep you from over-producing intense UV light in your brain that is damaging tissue. Your doctor thinks it's related to your blood pressure problem, but the real problem is upstream from the blood pressure. The erratic blood pressure is a symptom of the high ROS production coupled with oxygen and leaking electricity. You'll see this in more detail soon. Light produced by ROS, magnetism from ATP synthase, electricity from the IMM and ETC, water functioning as an electrical insulator. It's physics, not biochemistry. This is just the beginning, so hang in there.
We mentioned some basic insults that cause problems for the ETC and IMM like blue light and nnEMF. What about deficiencies? What things do the ETC and IMM need that we are not providing? Well, each of the complexes require light to function. Complex 1 needs UV light. Complex 4 and ATP synthase need red light. They don't work without light. Light is what electrons capture so that they can move from one energy level to another thereby facilitating chemical reactions. There is no chemical reaction without light. The light either comes directly from the sun, or from precisely controlled ROS production, or from light emitted from electrons. This is Einstein's photoelectric effect. Humans have moved indoors, and we are missing the greatest source of light on our planet. The SUN. We must have MASSIVE amounts of sunlight to run our body, especially with all the modern day insults we are subjected to. The ETC cannot run optimally without us getting sun. Red light from the sun penetrates to the deepest parts of the body. Complex 4 and ATP synthase need that red light. We must physically see the morning sunrise and evening sunset every day for the rest of our life. You cannot make that insulting water (DDW) without massive amounts of red light, and you are electrocuting yourself as a result. Again, it's physics, not biochemistry. Red light reduces blood glucose by 27% almost immediately upon exposure. Blue light increases both blood glucose and insulin almost immediately. Holding a cell phone to the side of your head increases blood glucose and insulin according to the National Institute of Drug Abuse as directed by Nora Volkow. We'll look at the mechanisms a little later, but it's about physics, not biochemistry. Going forward start thinking of blue light like smoking cigarettes. Five minutes under LED lights is like smoking a pack of cigarettes. Just putting your phone in your pocket for an hour is like smoking a pack of cigarettes. The owner's manual for your phone specifically says that you should NEVER touch your phone. Start thinking of these things as poison.
Let's talk about healing. Your body heals by producing a DC electric current that must be exactly equal to one trillionth of one amp. This goes back to the 1960's when Robert O. Becker, at the Syracuse, NY veterans hospital, began putting batteries in the casts of bone-break victims to regenerate bone. But where does the DC electric current come from naturally without an artificial battery pack? It comes from melanin capturing sunlight. The melanin formation is stimulated by melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH) which comes from POMC (which we'll discuss more later) which also requires sunlight (UV light in this case). Where else does the UV light come from? The UV light comes not only from the sunlight but also from precisely controlled ROS emission (think Goldilocks - not too much, not too little). The melanin MUST be hydrated by the DDW that is made at CCO or the melanin will conduct too much electricity and you will NOT heal. Worse yet, dehydrated melanin will leak electricity causing more damage. We must make more melanin and hydrate our melanin, but blue light, WiFi and cell phones are dehydrating our melanin and we cannot heal. That one trillionth of one amp is used to dedifferentiate red blood cells back into pluripotent stem cells that are then used for healing. Yes, extremely small electric current transforms red blood cells into stem cells. If the electric current is any more than one trillionth of one amp it will french-fry those red blood cells and you won't heal. You need to renovate your melanin and hydrate it with the DDW that is made at CCO.
So you have these symptoms of highly irregular blood pressure, extreme stress triggers, diagnosis of autonomic nervous system dysfunction, syncope on the plane, pre-diabetes, early on-set menopause, and sensitivity to heat. This screams of dysfunction to the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus. The PVN controls all of those things. And where is the PVN situated? It's situated right in the retinal pathway. You spent years in high school, college, medical school, hospitals, and clinics under LED lights. It is very, very likely that you have a traumatic brain injury on the PVN due to external blue light exposure over 50 years of your life. It comes directly into the eye and goes right to the hypothalamus. I'd be willing to bet that if you had a DTI-MRI that the PVN would light up like a firefly. It's a traumatic brain injury (TBI) of the PVN. The mitochondria in that part of your brain are shot, and you are leaking electricity that is destroying the neurons of the PVN. The melanin there is not hydrated and therefore you cannot heal. But don't worry. You can fix it. It can heal, but only if you take away the "cyanide" that you are poisoning it with and if you renovate the pathway (melanin) that allows healing to occur. Right now you are still poisoning yourself, and your healing machinery is broken.
Now think about the hormone pathways. Let's start with POMC. Break down the letters of the acronym. Proopiomelanocortin. The POMC gene codes for the POMC peptide which gets chopped up by light from the sun or ROS and makes opium, melanin, and cortisol. POMC doesn't work without light. You cannot make those chemicals without light. And guess what part of the brain is loaded with POMC neurons? The PVN, which in your case is damaged because it has been getting the WRONG light for decades. Let's look closer at the "cortin" part of POMC. When POMC gets cleaved by blue light it makes adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and corticotropin-like intermediate peptide (CLIP). So when you get too much blue light you make too much ACTH and CLIP which increases both blood glucose and insulin. Your prediabetes comes in here. You think it's stress induced, but it's more than that. The stress is what pushed it over the edge, but it's not the root cause of the prediabetes. The blue light is the root cause. ACTH and CLIP are hormones that stimulate cortisol, but where does the structure of cortisol come from? It comes from progesterone which comes from pregnenolone which comes from cholesterol. Everybody knows that when you hit cholesterol with UV-B light is makes vitamin D, but nobody seems to know that when you hit cholesterol with UV-A and red light together it makes pregnenolone in the matrix of the mitochondria. In other words, you cannot optimize pregnenolone production unless you see the morning sun when it is rising between 8-12 degrees above the horizon. Why is this important? Because if you are stimulating massive amounts of cortisol due the over-production of ACTH and CLIP (due to excessive raw blue light exposure) then you have what's called a pregnenolone steal. That means all your pregnenolone goes to produce cortisol (because it's constantly being stimulated by the raw blue through ACTH and CLIP) and not enough pregnenolone is left over to produce testosterone and estrogen. Ohhhhhh.....early on-set menopause. Yes! That's why some women with early onset menopause actually get pregnant once they fix the light environment in their life. There's more about POMC. The opium made by POMC is to keep us addicted to sunlight. And the melanin part is vital for healing. We need massive amounts of UV sunlight to chop POMC into melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH) so that this MSH can trigger the conversion of L-DOPA into melanin in our skin which then gets sucked inside our body. Melanocytes move through the body when they receive UV light so that the whole body can get melanin. In your case, the PVN is also full of POMC neurons and the PVN is part of the retinal pathway, so you will be able to make lots of melanin in the PVN for healing the PVN, but ONLY if you hydrate that melanin. Your melanin is very dehydrated which is why you cannot heal. And the neurons of your PVN and not able to make this water in the mitochondria because of the damage to CCO from blue light and nnEMF.
Now bring in the hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis (HPA axis). The hypothalamus makes corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH). But which part of the hypothalamus? It's the PVN again. Ahhhhhh. CRH then stimulates the anterior pituitary to make ACTH. Where does the ACTH come from? Again, it comes from POMC of the hypothalamus and specifically from the PVN in the hypothalamus (PVN again). Remember, your PVN is damaged. This ACTH then stimulates cortisol in the adrenal glands and also epinephrine. That's the basic HPA axis. The cortisol can then stimulate gluconeogenesis in the liver resulting in glucose and insulin (and prediabetes when over-stimulated). Remember that the structure of cortisol came from cholesterol and pregnenolone and light. The PVN is a major part of this as all stress must go through the PVN. But what about that epinephrine? Epinephrine comes from norepinephrine which comes from dopamine which comes from L-DOPA which comes from tyrosine which comes from phenylalanine (2 aromatic amino acids). Tyrosine and phenylalanine both require UV light to move 4 electrons. Again, a light driven pathway. The interesting part here is that L-DOPA is also the structure used to make melanin (which is stimulated by MSH from POMC and light). So, when epinephrine is constantly being triggered due to stress and damage in the PVN (from blue light) then melanin is degraded into L-DOPA to make dopamine to make epinephrine. What is the significance? That means you have less melanin left over for healing. It's a melanin steal like the pregnenolone steal above.
Those are some basics. But how do you fix it? By aligning with nature. That does not mean hiking in the woods. It means removing the insults that are unnatural and adding back the healing properties of nature. To begin, you must remove blue light and nnEMF, and you must add in sunlight. It's not as easy as it sounds. For example, you must see the sunrise every day for the rest of your life in order to make that DDW at CCO. That means that every day you must get from your bedroom to your yard outside without seeing any artificial light. In winter that means that the night before you must set out your boots, coat, hat and gloves, so that in the morning you can put those clothes on without seeing artificial light, and then go outside for at least 30 minutes. Then come in to make some food under mostly red light in your kitchen with no or little blue light, then go outside to eat it. Then come in to do a few things, and then go back outside to see the UV-A rise to make pregnenolone. That's how you start to align with nature. As time goes on you wear less and less clothing in the winter while watching the sunrise as you align with our human evolution of cold exposure so that you can bring the complexes of the ETC closer together through contraction to increase efficiency. In the winter, the food you eat must align with the winter temperatures which means you cannot eat any plants from November through April or you will further destroy ATP synthase. Plants are literal poison in the winter because they contain deuterium that can only be neutralized by intense sunlight and melanin. Plants are only safe to eat in summer on days you get massive sunlight. Inside your house you'll need an infrared chicken light to provide the water of your cells with the energy they need to make a battery, and you'll need to spend as much time outside as possible to get natural infrared light and UV-A. You can NEVER have your cell phone on your body, and it must always be in airplane mode when you're not using it. Your WiFi router must be off at night and in a Faraday cage during the day. You must have blue light filters on all screens. LED and fluorescent bulbs must go in the garbage. When you go to the store, an office, or a school you must wear blue light glasses, a baseball hat, long sleeves, and leave as soon as possible. These things are absolute poison for you. You can heal a traumatic brain injury on the paraventricular nucleus but you must eliminate what is poisoning it.
Let's get back to oxygen. Oxygen is carried in the blood by what? Hemoglobin, as you well know. But most people in this modern life now have undetected methemoglobinemia. As stated earlier, hemoglobin is a porphyrin ring with iron at the center. It's identical to chlorophyll in plants except that chlorophyll has magnesium at the center. What's the difference? Magnesium is very stable. It doesn't change oxidation states. Iron, on the other hand, is very unstable and was purposely selected by evolution because of this unstable characteristic and its ability to change oxidation states to accommodate fluctuating environmental oxygen levels. When iron is in a +2 oxidation state (missing 2 electrons) it binds oxygen really well. That's what hemoglobin needs to transport oxygen. But when iron is in a +3 oxidation state is does not bind oxygen and instead binds nitric oxide (which is also a paramagnetic molecule like oxygen). This is methemoglobinemia. It's not detectable with a standard pulse oximeter. What causes iron to shift from +2 to +3 ??? It's blue light. Yep! You are delivering less oxygen to the cells. What else did we say earlier contained heme? It was complexes 2, 3, and 4 of the ETC. Blue light does the same thing to them, which is that it shifts iron from +2 to +3 and binds nitric oxide. When this happens then electrons do not flow through the ETC and mitochondria cannot make that very important DDW. It's a double whammy for disease.
Back to hormones. Vasopressin. Guess where it's produced? Yep, in the PVN again. It's essential for stimulating the production of DDW so that the IMM and melanin can be properly hydrated to facilitate healing. But your PVN is damaged, and you are making way too much vasopressin which causes further damage to the brain. As you know, vasopressin also controls blood pressure. When you encounter stress blood vessels are over-constricting from the high vasopressin that your damaged PVN is making, and then the system later over-compensates to reduce blood pressure and you get erratic results. This can all sound scary, but you can fix it by realigning with nature. There are a ton of things you will need to do, but you can start with just one or two things today. Once you get used to those one or two things then you can add another one or two things. The very biggest things are eliminating blue light and cell phone signals, and getting more sunlight at specific times of day.
Let's talk a little about your circadian rhythm. The master clock for the whole body is the supra chiasmatic nucleus (SCN). It's also located in the hypothalamus and is directly part of the retinal pathway. My guess is that since your chaotic schedule in medical school and hospital rotations you have never healed your circadian rhythm, and the blue light toxicity may possibly have impacted the SCN as well. I'm not as confident in this analysis as I am with the TBI of the PVN, but regardless, resetting your circadian rhythm can only help. It's the cycle of light and dark. Dark is just as important as light for our biology. Dark is when a lot of healing takes place. After sunset the lights in your house have to go off except for a red light. If you have important things to do that cannot wait then a dim low color temperature incandescent bulb could be used along with blue light glasses, but keep in mind that it is toxin for you. Even the red light is toxic, although for about 2-3 hours after sunset it's not super bad. Once the sun sets you need to prevent all blue light from street lights from entering your house, especially in your bedroom. I had to build a wood frame around our bedroom window even with a room darkening shade. There can be no light in the bedroom.
