Fertility: What Your Doctor Won't Tell You

Doctors are not trained to heal root cause fertility issues. Doctors are trained to treat fertility symptoms with procedures and prescriptions. This type of treatment may be enough to get you pregnant and have a baby, but will that baby be healthy enough to live a full life if you only treat symptoms and do not address the root health issues? The answer is no. You actually have to heal before pregnancy, not just treat symptoms. If you cannot get pregnant it means that your body is telling you that you are not healthy enough to properly nurture a baby to health. Forcing your body to produce a baby with artificial procedures and prescriptions is a recipe for chronic disease in the child. You need to heal first. This goes for the father as well as the mother. The sperm needs to be as healthy as the egg in order to avoid transgenerational epigenetic heteroplasmy in the mitochondria of the embryo. It's not a problem with you. It's a problem with the environment that we have put ourselves in. Let's look at the things that your doctor will never tell you.
The most obvious issue is sex hormones. Every lay person knows that sex hormones are necessary in reproduction, yet doctors don't tell you how to heal your sex hormones. Instead, doctors artificially manipulate your hormones with procedures and prescriptions. But if you have to artificially manipulate your hormones that means your body is not healthy enough to support a baby, so do not force your body to artificially have a baby if it's not ready. Heal your hormones first! How? Take a step backward from the sex hormones. Where do sex hormones come from? Estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, progesterone, and cortisol all come from pregnenolone. Where does pregnenolone come from? Pregnenolone comes from cholesterol. So, step one is to eat lots of cholesterol. That means lots of animal fat and animal protein. This is a must. But it's not enough. You must be able to convert cholesterol to pregnenolone. Everybody knows that when you hit cholesterol with UV-B light it gets converted to vitamin D. But most doctors don't know that in order to convert cholesterol to pregnenolone you must hit it with a combination of UV-A light and red light. So, step two means you MUST see the sunrise every day for at least 3 years before you want to begin trying to get pregnant so that you can heal before you begin nurturing a baby. If you artificially provide hormones with procedures and prescriptions you will have weak spots in your ability to nurture an embryo and fetus. Take a look at the diagram below:
Notice that pregnenolone makes progesterone and then progesterone makes cortisol. What happens if you put yourself in an environment that forces your body to make tons and tons of cortisol? Well, you will not have enough pregnenolone left over to make estrogen, testosterone, and DHEA. This is called a pregnenolone steal in medical terms. Your pregnenolone is being stolen to make tons and tons of cortisol and there is not enough pregnenolone left over to make the other sex hormones. Does that sound like a problem for getting pregnant if you don't have enough estrogen, testosterone, and DHEA? You bet it's problem. So, ask yourself what drives the body to make tons and tons of cortisol? The answer is stress, blue light, and insulin resistance. So, step three is to reduce stress, blue light, and insulin resistance. I'm not going to explain how to reduce stress. You can learn about life management and meditation from other sources. But I am going to tell you a little bit about blue light and insulin resistance. In this modern life we are getting massive exposure to toxic blue light from LED lights, phone screens, TV's, computers, and more. You MUST eliminate as much of this blue light as possible. Avoiding it is the best way, but you can manage it with blue light filtering glasses, screen filters, screen settings, and long sleeved clothing (yeah, your skin matters too). Insulin resistance can be managed with a low carbohydrate diet which goes well with the need for more cholesterol (animal fat and animal protein) that was mentioned above, and it can be managed with cold plunging. This is a good point to mention that the conversion of testosterone to estrogen (in the chart above) requires the enzyme aromatase. Insulin resistance inhibits the aromatase enzyme in women. That means you won't be able to make estrogen properly if you are insulin resistant, so you really need to fix insulin resistance.
So, those are some very basic sex hormone principles that your doctor will not tell you about. Now we need to talk about the MOST IMPORTANT hormone for reproduction: leptin. You cannot get pregnant if leptin is not working properly. Leptin is a hormone that is made in the fat cells under you skin. You must have lots and lots of properly working fat cells under your skin to make leptin. Leptin is basically a hormone that tells the hypothalamus in your brain how many electrons are available in your body to transform energy so you can optimally support a baby. So, step four is to eat a lot of animal fat and animal protein so that you have enough fat under your skin. This goes well with step one where we said to eat animal fat and animal protein to provide cholesterol. It is no surprise that nature built us this way. But that leptin has to be activated by UV light. Optimally, you want to get UV light from the sun, but your body also makes UV light internally from cold. So, step five is that in summer you must get lots of UV light from the sun, and when there is little UV light in winter then you need to do cold plunges in a tub so that your body will make UV light internally in your mitochondria. This goes well with the need for cold plunging to reduce insulin resistance that we mentioned above. But that's not the whole story about leptin. Leptin has to be interpreted by the neurons in the hypothalamus of the brain. If those neurons in the hypothalamus are damaged then they cannot interpret leptin, and this is called leptin resistance. You can produce tons of leptin in the fat cells, but if the neurons of the hypothalamus are broken, and cannot read the leptin message, then leptin is useless. What damages the neurons? Blue light and lack of UV light. The eye is connected to the hypothalamus through the retinal pathway and supra chiasmatic nucleus. Blue light from LED lights, screens, TV's, and computers frees retinol in the eye which destroys all photo receptors thereby damaging the neurons in the hypothalamus. So, step six is to eliminate blue light in your eyes and on your skin, and get either more UV sunlight or do cold plunging to provide UV light that heals the neurons. Again, this goes right along with what we've already mentioned above. There are some very basic things in our modern environment that we don't even realize are harming us.
We are starting to develop a model giving you a structure for your life and your environment in order to support pregnancy and a healthy baby. It's all stuff that our ancestors did instinctively every day, but in our modern life we have messed things up. There's much more though. These hormones are not only dependent on the nutrients you eat (like animal fat and animal protein) and the light you get, but they are also dependent on the microbes that your gut and other organ systems contain. An optimal microbiome will help produce the hormones we have talked about thus far, while an unhealthy microbiome can destroy these hormones. Support your microbiome by starving bad microbes, and by feeding beneficial microbes that will push out the bad microbes. You can read more about Smarter Gut Repair here.
Most people living in a modern environment will have significant damage to their mitochondria. There are quadrillions of mitochondria in your body. The sperm and the egg MUST have optimal mitochondria so that the embryo will have optimal mitochondria giving the baby the best chance for a disease-free life. Many of the things we have already discussed must be considered in healing your mitochondria, but there is more. Cell phone signals and WiFi have a very damaging effect on Complex 1 of the electron transport chain in mitochondria. Every cell phone manual specifically says that you must never touch your phone. Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? But lookup your phone manual online, and read it. It says right in there that you should never touch it. Why? Because mitochondria (and DNA) run on electromagnetic signals, and when you introduce artificial electromagnetic signals (like cell phones and WiFi) it gives your mitochondria the wrong message. So this means that for 3 years prior to conception you MUST NEVER keep a cell phone on your body. NEVER. Put it in airplane mode and then also put it in a faraday cage sleeve when you're near it. This goes for both the mother and father. Never put a laptop or tablet on your lap. When you need to use these devices place them on a table and use only your fingertips to operate. You might even want to put metallic cloth across your pelvic area. As soon as you have completed your task put the device back in airplane mode and then also put it in a faraday cage. Protect your sperm, egg, embryo, and all cells of your body from cell phone signals and WiFi. Put your WiFi router at home in a faraday cage and shut it off at night. I additionally wrap the faraday cage in metallic cloth. If you live or work under a cell phone tower then you should move or get a different job location. Your sperm, egg, embryo, and all the cells of your body cannot be healthy if subjected to this electromagnetic radiation.
There are many, many more things to know and more actions you should take. For this I will refer you to a list of Daily Activities for Health and Healing. Some of the items are things we have discussed here, but you will find many more daily changes you need to make to your life if you want to optimize your chances of having a healthy baby. The 3 years before you get pregnant are just as important as the 9 months of pregnancy as far as the health of the child for the rest of the child's life. You need to learn about deuterium, grounding, fasting, birth microbes, electrolytes and minerals, melanin, melatonin, dopamine, exclusion zone water, infrared light, and much more. You should also read Healing Chronic Disease for a deeper understanding of what is needed to prepare your body for pregnancy. Dedicate time every day to studying science and health.
