This is NOT just a random number. Statisticians agree that testing data starts to become statistically insignificant when somewhere between 5-10% of students refuse the tests. This is why 95% participation is required by the USDE. There are roughly 1.2 million students in grades 3-8 in NYS. That means that 250,000 is roughly 20% of the student population. This is double the 10% that would make the test data insignificant.
Please keep the number 250,000 in your head every day. Keep it in the front of your mind when you see a family in front of you in the grocery store line, when you are at your child's spring music concert, when you are talking to a parent after church. As citizens of the United States, we can take control of our future. But we must have VISION (250,000) and ACTION (educating others).
Governor Cuomo and his destructive education agenda CANNOT move forward if there is not enough test data. WE HAVE CONTROL OVER THAT!!!
