You will recall a recent blog post called 25 Actions Ken-Ton School Board Can Take Without Violating State Mandates. Number 6 states, "Join school board members from other local districts, along with Ken-Ton parents, at rallies and protests that center around the issues of excessive high-stakes testing, student data sharing, the Common Core package, flawed teacher evaluations, excessive homework, lack of recess, and the busting of the public school ‘monopoly’. Show parents that you will stand with them rather than against them." The Ken-Ton School Board came through on this, and for that I say THANK YOU!
I would like to ask the Ken-Ton School Board to choose another action from the list of 25 actions. We can move forward together. We can STOP Governor Cuomo's agenda, and we can stop high-stakes testing that the Ken-Ton School Board has unanimously agreed is "adversely affecting students". LET'S DO IT!!!
